Tabbat yada abee lahabin watab

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ 111:2

Ma aghna AAanhu maluhuwama kasab

His wealth and gains will not exempt him.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ 111:3

Sayasla naran thatalahab

He will be plunged in flaming Fire,

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ 111:4

Wamraatuhu hammalata alhatab

And his wife, the wood-carrier,

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ 111:5

Fee jeediha hablun min masad

Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre.
